Ann Hamilton - University Board Member and Development Professional
For more than 20 years, Ann Hamilton has collaborated with her family to support and advance public education in southwest Florida. She belongs to the board of the Florida Gulf Coast University Foundation, having previously served on the university's board of trustees for six years. Also involved in the underwriting of the university's William Thomas Howard Annual Business Seminar, Ann Hamilton helped to bring Forbes Media's Steve Forbes to the university for the 2016 event.
Ms. Hamilton is also the former executive director of the foundation for the Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Hall, a prominent performance venue in southwest Florida. In addition she has served in a number of private sector positions, including that of financial analyst for Keltec Florida in Fort Walton Beach. An experienced consultant as well, she has provided development research for the Marketing Research Institute in Riverside, California.
Ann Hamilton holds a master of arts in business administration from the University of California, through which she completed a feasibility study that investigated the possibility of creating an employee child care center for California's General Dynamics Corporation. She received her bachelor of science from Florida State University, where she studied speech pathology.
